Heating Fuel
The two major heating fuels in our region are natural gas and oil.  Heating oil is a major source of pollution in our community, accounting for 8.5% of the total greenhouse gas emissions in aFewSteps’ coverage area.  Natural gas is more than 50% cheaper than oil for home heating, producing half the carbon dioxide and a third of the oxides of nitrogen of oil heating.
